I'm having a small problem with the hardware mode option.
It seems that everything looks over saturated, like the gamma is set way too high.
Is there any way to fix this?

LickyWebster:
If you PM your email, I can post you the nGlide configurator so you can adjust the gamma.
Of course you can also download it yourself from nGlides web, you need version 0.99.
Thanks, that changed it slightly but it's still brighter than the original.
Is there a way to set the gamma even lower?

Only thing I can think of is in the driversettings of your videocard or adjusting the brightness of the monitor.
Same problem here with oversaturation. I do remember having this with Carma on my actual Voodoo2 hardware years ago (and many if not all other 3DFX games) so it looked familiar to me.

I noticed people posting screenshots here with texture smoothing, high resolution and perfect (similar to software/d3d) colors. Do you guys get this from the GOG version as-is, or is there some modification done?

Its the windows 95 patch that is stickied on this forum.

If you have nGlide 1.00 installed in your system set gamma option to 0.7 in nGlide configurator 1.00 or install nGlide 0.99.

Are you sure? I have that working, but resolution is an upscaled (pixel doubled) 640x480 for me (even after editing the ini) and there is no texture smoothing (the road textures for example have square pixels). Colors are indeed fine with this version though.

I guess they are also forcing settings with the nvidia control example or whatever ATi's equivalent is. forcing AA and such can help alot.

Is nGlide the wrapper GOG uses for Carma? And can this also be done by editing a file or registry value or does it need the installer?

Ah, makes sense. I'll try to mess around with that, thanks!
