Is Caesar III only in English on GOG?
And if so, is it possible to replace the files with original audio/text files from German/French/... versions?
If I remember well, it is possible to do that on normal (non-GOG) versions.

It's English only. I have no idea if you can mod it to do other languages. If you tell me what files you would be replacing, I can see if they're present in the Caesar III directory.

Ok

For the regular edition, you swap the following files to change the language :

For the levels (beginning and end speech)
0XW.wav & 0XB.wav (where X 1, 2, 3... depending on the level/map)
In c:\SIERRA\Caesar3\WAVS

For the citizens (voices in-game)
ie: barber_great1.wav, barber_needjob1.wav, ...

For the texts
C3.eng, c3_mm.eng
In sierra/caesar 3

Can you see the files?

Yeah, there's a directory called "wavs" and there files in it are called 01B.wav, 01W.wav and so on. There are 40 wavs with names like that, and then many more wavs that just seem to be various sound effects (for buildings and units and so on).

And, yes, there's also C3.eng and C3_mm.eng in the main Caesar 3 directory. Looks like you can change the language then. :)

It seems you can do so if you have the Spanish language files, but it's not possible without them.

Hi all. For french gamers ; Do you want we upload a *.exe files to install French language in the GOG version ? I have the original game in French and i see french files (wav etc..)

Ah... An question ; the gog version is 1.1 ? I see two patch ; 1.0.1 and 1.1

wie geht das genau mit dem "Reinkopieren" ? Ich habe von GOG nur eine .exe Datei und versucht die Dateien aus dem oben genannten Download mit dieser .exe Datei zu öffnen bzw. das Spiel zu installieren. Es ist aber trotzdem auf englisch.

Anybody have a ".exe" to have french langage (maybe with instructions) ? Or have u got a website where i can DL french version ?
I just want a simply way to have french langage. (I have the same problem for zeus, poseidon, pharaoh and cleopatra games).

Why GOG doesn't have multiple langage version ? ...
