To the surprise of absolutely no one GOG users left out again.
And where is the game??? Already the 12th?!
i might have to start going with steam again for my games
We GOG users are somehow flawed, we get games only after a while, or so in general after years and decades. :( Maybe somehow it is worth improving the service so that large companies also reach out here and there were no release delays.

Always was going to be the 12th for Britain., and countries East.
The 11th was for US markets, and that's what global releases use for their marketing.

This is first game dev has released on GOG simultaneously with Steam.
This is to small a studio to get a simultaneous GOG release, which would be 2 AM on 12th in Poland.
AFAIK GOG releases still require manual activation by GOG Staff, and a website announcement.

That would normally get done with the Preorder launch
Given the added complication that having no preorder, and thus a purchase price until release, I'm pretty sure this game requires a human to trigger the release, and that must wait until GOG staff start work on Friday.

On the bright side of memory, Steam uses are bug testing the game for us.
It's a single player game, and it doesn't matter how late the GOG release is, hours, or decades.
It's brand new to you, and me the day it's released on GOG.

Indeed 2 years+ later means we get a complete edition, and fully patched Game.
Modders have also had plenty of time to fix the bugs the devs wouldn't, or couldn't.
Later GOG releases are the best versions of SPGs.

Don't forget that GOG, compared to steam, also has to prepare the offline setup, and check it, for each of their games, and check it manually, too, then to write the ads in all languages, that requires more work
On steam, there is no such thing, it's automatic: developers can even publish a game that doesn't work

Taking this into account, don't forget also that the game was released late, in the night for us, and that it was also a holiday
Let's wait for the day, to see if what happens

The game appear in first place in this list : https://www.gog.com/games?sort=date&page=1

This is always the case for games that are going to be released, so it should be out within the day

Two days late but it's here. Compared to Bethesda with Quake, that's fast.

Not sure what you mean. Are you saying that you are two days late? 'Cause the game did release two days ago on GOG, a few hours after its Steam release.

The thread kept going for a few hours after I left, so I assumed nothing had happened until I returned today. It's good news either way. The dev kept their promise.
