Anybody got these achievements? Are they the kind you have to get in a single run like the ones where you have to kill 1000 spacers and stuff? Because I have no idea how to kill 10,000 civilians lol

No, the game keeps a tally of the number of civilians that have been killed - it does not need to be accumulated in a single run.

You should be able to see what number of kills you have accumulated via the F1 debug menu under the MAIN tab. Look for the "Stats & Achievements" menu and it should show you the various counters for each faction, one of which is civilians.

Note that certain campaign levels and freelance maps have higher concentrations of civilians than other levels and maps. You could also try using the Auditor pilot in Freelance to turn all enemy NPCs into civilians - you won't get much money but this should speed up matters considerably.

Thank you! I finally got them, but I think there must be an issue somewhere. According to gog galaxy only 0.1% players have habituation and less than that have das ist eine statistik

It appears I don't have this section displayed. Haven't been able to get any "kill X number of Y" achievements so far, too. Others seem to work fine, though. Another bug?

We only recently, *finally* added achievements to the GOG version with the 1.6 Blood Anniversary update. Chances are that the people who bought and played the game years ago (it's been out since 2017 on GOG) haven't returned, and the recent update is only about two months old. It's entirely possible there are GOG players who did meet the requirements; they've long since stopped playing the game.

My bad. The F1 debug panel for the GOG version doesn't surface this information. Press ~ (the tilde key, usually found to the left of 1 on most keyboards) and you will be presented with the console instead. The console *won't* show you faction kills, but you *will* see a message there telling you whether your copy of the game is properly communicating with the achievements server (one common reason for this not happening is people playing offline). You should also get an achievement for doing this, assuming you've never accessed the console before.

Make sure your Galaxy client is connected to the internet, and if you're certain you should have particular achievements, don't just restart the game but also restart the Galaxy launcher (achievements on all storefronts are known to be inconsistent - you are not the first to experience this). If the problem persists, please follow the instructions in the section "HELP US HELP YOU" in this tech support FAQ https://old.reddit.com/r/brigador/comments/myvmit/tech_support_faq_aka_brigador_wont_launch/

Got it working! Restarting Galaxy and/or the whole system didn't help, but using Galaxy's Verify/Repair function and THEN restarting the launcher worked. Achievements for killing 100 and 1000 civillians pulled through just fine.

Thanks for all your work, cheers.

Hmm, I actually noticed a -- KILL STATISTICS UPDATE -- section appears in console after a mission is complete, and it seems to show faction kills. Seems to be correct, too, as I got "Kill 1000 loyalists" achievement after it showed the killcount exceeding 1k (pic1).

Except it looks like the stats in the section reset to zero after game shutdown (pic2, tested on a campaign level run). Could it be that the kill count isn't tracked correctly when the app is re-launched?

Specifically this is showing you a per-level/map/run kill count, not the actual overall count. How you can surface the overall count varies by what platform you're playing the game through; we'll look into what way is possible for the GOG version.

Yeah, I get that the numbers under "Level statistics" are for the completed level, of course.

The numbers above are what bothers me. They definitely stack from map to map, and from run to run, but only if I don't exit the game — unless by "run" you mean just that, the whole play from starting the app till exiting(?).

If latter is true, perhaps I misunderstood this sort of achievements' requirement, and it is actually "Kill X of Y in one run, meaning without exiting the game". In that case, my mistake, although I think the requirements should clarified a bit.

No, you do not need to kill 1000 loyalists, or 10,000 civilians in one session of running the game to set off the relevant achievement. The numbers ought to carry over between sessions (a single session when you launch the game, play it, and then quit out). However, the debug panel and console of the GOG version of the game does not seem to surface the totals in an obvious manner, and Galaxy does not appear to provide the ability to show a progress counter on this type of achievement either, but we'll see if there's some kind of solution.

Lastly, because you're new to the game (we hope you're enjoying it!), what you might not know is the following: the game is over five years old and was not originally designed with achievements in mind. Achievements were added on other storefronts only in the summer of 2017 and even then they were not 100% reliable (IIRC two achievements were permanently removed because of how unreliable they were). Getting achievements to work with the GOG version in 2021 was its own challenge, because the GOG Galaxy SDK and the process for getting achievements to function as intended is a different process to other storefronts.

I understand the situation with achievements, and appreciate your work a lot.

I'm fairly new to the game, yeah, but started playing a few weeks before the achievements were launched on Galaxy's version. Thus I had most of the campaign done, and did numerous runs since, more frequently with after every hotfix.

That's why the kill count achievements concern me: even without proper tracking for pre-achievements numbers, I should've gotten at least the faction specific ones long ago, I'd figure. But was able to get one only during a longer session, deliberately focusing on campaign missions and freelance contracts against one particular faction.

Anyway, thanks for your time, the game is awesome either way!
