Any chance the GOG version will get all the available achievements at some point?

No guarantees at this time, but yes it's something we're looking into.

I would also like to see achievements (finally) added to Brigador. It should go without saying that the GOG version should be on par with the Steam one but here we are - asking for achievements to be added to a 3 years old game.

Glad to hear that, Brigador still is one of my favorite action games, hence why I hope to see achievements added as they should, hopefully, add a new set of challenges.

We hope in the coming months that we'll implement GOG achievements. Our current priorities the past few months since I posted have been on our current project. However, the GOG achievement investigation (and a bunch of various technical problems being reported with the influx of new players) made very apparent to us that there are some not-very-exciting issues to deal with which can be broadly categorized as "tech debt" that (whether we like it or not) we will have to deal with eventually. The result of doing so would not only be GOG achievements, but also future-proofing Brigador for various other issues that have been causing people annoyances that weren't a problem back in 2016/2017 (such as getting the game to operate properly with 4K monitor resolutions without the need for players to go into complicated display settings).

I fully realize this isn't the answer you or other GOG users want, but we'd much rather put out a version of the game that is "up to date" and can be maintained properly, rather than something that is still carrying at least four years worth of baggage and produce even more problems for everyone.

Thank you for the update. I'd say your approach is sound if tackling the 'tech debt' issues first will result in both adding the (long awaited) GOG achievements and future-proofing the game. Please continue to keep us updated on your further progress.

I just started enjoying some BRIGADOR, but yes, quite surprised to find no achievements (even while available on Steam for same edition). Anyway, makes some sense now, and very happy to hear that team cares about this. I appreciate achievements (when well thought out, not generic or grind) because they can lead to some great moments that would've otherwise been missed.

I really hope that with the upcoming update, or at least in a short time, the achievements will arrive also here on GOG, I appreciate anyway that they keep us updated on the development!
