So, I'm probably being an idiot, but I literally can't even start playing the first mission. I place the team, I set the waypoints, I click the "breach" button... and nothing happens, the squad just stands there, doing nothing at all. If I set no waypoints on my own in the first turn, just click "breach" they will actually act out the first turn with the waypoints as they were placed by default, but the second turn we're back to them doint nothing when I set new orders and click "breach".

I played the tutorial, it worked fine. I'm probably missing something obvious, but still... I'm at a loss.

I've owned the game for a long time and never been able to play it because I have exactly the same problem. I just looked on Steam and it's on sale for £1.64 at the moment so I'm wondering whether to buy it again, just to test.

UPDATE: Just completed mission 1 of the steam version and it ran flawlessly.

Same situation with this unplayable game.

With Windows XP, Seven, MacOS X, the same unplayable game.
Seemed to be an interesting game, but it seems to remain a critical bug after 2 years!

Disapointed! Will never buy a game from this studio again.

I just got this on GOG through the new GOG Connect feature. I figured I should try it before buying Deadline. I was able to complete the short tutorial, but I cannot finish the first mission due to this problem. If the bug occurs and I drop back to the menu and restart the mission, the bug is still there. If I restart the game, I can play for a few turns before the bug occurs again.

I have the same problem. it seams to appear randomly and I wasn`t able to finish he first mission. Updating this game seems to be inescapable or gog should remove it, because its not playable!

Do you have any overlays on? I have "AMD Gaming Evolved" that sometimes messes with certain games like that. Turning it off fixes the problem. I don't have your problem myself though. At least so far.

Resolved for me by using GALAXY client to Install and Play game.
I installed the game twice with the same symptoms.
After using GALAXY no problems anymore.

Thanks for trying to help, it's appreciated, but there is no way in hell I'm installing Galaxy.

So I just wasted an hour with restarting the mission over and over again :(
Guess I will leave this game alone for a while until it has been fixed. I also refuse to use the galaxy client...

I'm having the same problem, has anyone found a fix yet? I was able to complete the first mission but I'm unable to take any action in the second mission.

For what it's worth, I tried on a different machine and the game plays normally now.
