The left analog works like the dpad for phone controls while also moving me. so i can only move with the phone out and navigating around the phone menu constantly. dpad still works fine. no other games are having this problem, and my control panel & steam config & xbox accessories all show the controller to be fine.

Seems to work if i end task on steam. idk why this is, but if anyone else has this issue, try closing steam

Steam has it's own controller configurator, you might have it enabled / it's active in the background.

must be that. i checked it and the settings were right, but its interfering somehow i guess.
