You forgot to include the download link.

Tried installing the patch but it just says I'm missing some sort of files
What exactly does it say? Maybe a antivirus program is blocking them?

It says basically 'The code execution cannot proceed because Particles.dllv was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problem.' and when I press ok it gives me the same message with other files not found.
That file seems not to be part of the patch. Is the game working as such?

I mean I can launch the game through GOG but it doesn't apply the patch so I guess yeah
Maybe you installed the patch into the wrong folder. There is another Boiling Point folder beneath the main Boiling Point folder, at least this is the way it is with the Steam version. The patch belongs into the low one, not the top one!

Soooo.....what version does GoG supply when other threads suggest there is a v2.2 and the unnofficial is v1.4?

Confused to what is going on with this game. Just bought it, not noticing this.
I believe that GOG and Steam originally used the EU 2.0 version, but they messed the file dates up which BP checks so the result is a mix of EU 1.0 and EU 2.0...

Ah. I see.

Do you make the patch or is it a patch from someplace else and you translate it or something?

I made the Unofficial Patch, but I had help from some other modders, check the patch readme.

Question:
Instead of an EXEcutable. Could you please make a zip archive? It would make most people feel more comfortable, as end user can look inside casually. Also, Normal end users do not look inside exe files. That is my point, not just for me.

Sorry, but I will not do that. For everybody who doesn't trust an executable I get ten people who don't know where to copy the files or who copy them into the wrong locations and mess everything up...
