Will the prequel game ever be offered for sale on GOG?
Inti-Creates doesn't do GOG releases. More discussion here:

Sponge-worthy: Will the prequel game ever be offered for sale on GOG?
Inti Creates shafted backers and inconvenienced Fangamer service, before. Not only that, but they also released an open letter, openly bashing DRM-Free and accusing it for lost sales and piracy. Inti-Creates are DEECKS! Don't expect their stuff here. Too bad though, game rocks.
Yeah, Inti cucked us out of a DRM-free game BIG TIME...
Inti-Creates lied to backers. They think the pathetic steam drm can save the game from piracy, they are delusional. Inti-Creates is the grand example of arrogant developer who will happily sacrifice the fans for the false sense of protection. I would never buy anything from them.

Japan is the poster child for arrogant developers. Japanese developers/companies regulary participate in telling not asking what their customers want.

Japan had rampant piracy issues in the 80s when Nintendo introduced a floppy disk add-on for the Famicom. Even if the disks were proprietary, not standard floppy disks, they were just too easy to copy and rewrite so japanese developers became extremely paranoid regarding piracy and still are to this day.
doesn't make them any less stupid.

So they decided to screw the backers who supported them.

Sadly it appears they have put some kind of anti-piracy method with Curse of the Moon which seems to make the game purposefully crash after killing the Gluton Train if it's not being run through Steam legitimately. This isn't the only game that have dickheaded measures like this, Rabi-Ribi has a measure that causes your PC to bog down by forcing your browser to open the game's Steam store page for every frame being rendered. Tower of respect these guys are to their userbase and those willing to blindly support them. /sarcasm.

Rabi Ribi does this? man, what?
another one of those games I really want on GOG... sadly the Japanese are really afraid of freedom of choice.

Yep, Rabi-Ribi has that kind of shit too, it's probably why we won't see it ever get released in DRM-free form. Source:

That really is a shame. I mean I already own the game on steam and really enjoyed it. I sometimes buy stuff on gog a second time just to support the dev or DRM-free games in general. Would love to see more Japanese devs go DRM-free even if it's not at launch. Would love more capcom games than Dragons Dogma for example.

Rabi-Ribi is a Taiwanese game though.

I mentioned Rabi-Ribi because of its anti-piracy measure regardless of being a Taiwanese game.
