Hey..

My system is in German and so is the game for me. I'd much prefer the game to be in English since.. well, German just doesn't feel right :D Unfortunately though I haven't found a way to change this. The config file in my windows user folder only contains the few options available in the ingame options menu. Anybody know if/how changing the language might be possible?

You could say I am experiencing the same issue. I don't like playing games in Spanish since I grew up playing them in English. Well, I guess I will play this one in Spanish until this is solved. Then I will play it agian in English and refine my translation skills by comparing both languages. A silver lining I guess.
I know I'm necroing this thread, but I have the same issue. The weird thing is, my system is set to English and I still get the game in German.

I had to set the formats of my system to English (Europe) to change the language. Not the region, not the language, not the keyboard settings. Just the time and date formats. What a broken way to detect things...

In Win 10 that's in Region & Language -> Additional date, time & regional settings -> Change date, time or number formats. Hope this helps.

Oh wow, that's indeed a weird way to detect and auto-set stuff. I'm often wondering why developers think they should hide certain options from the user, especially fundamental stuff like language settings or controls. Anyway... I gave up on the game because at some point it simply got too ridiculously difficult... or maybe just too difficult for my meager gaming skills. Should I pick it up again, I'll give it a try. Thanks for the info!

I'm not a totally incompetent gamer but I couldn't get very far either. I think this is one of the few bad WayForward games. Something about the mechanics makes me not understand when I did wrong, and what I could do to improve things. And that backward-forward reverse somersault jump... I uninstalled it, but at least I know what settings to use for English language in all games now :)

Now that you mention the jumping... it's coming back to me. I remember having difficulties with some of the moves, especially one that let you bounce off certain objects (or enemies? don't remember correctly, been too long) in the air and thus get across larger gaps. 4 out of 5 times I couldn't get this damn move to work.
As for the language setting, I'll write it down somewhere and next time ANY game doesn't let me change the game language, I'll try this out. Who knows, maybe you found a great universal fix there :D
