The option to make subtitles appear should be in "display" along with "brightness" but it does not seen to appear at all , anyone know a fix ? I have to play at night while others are sleeping and with no subtitles and no sounds it gets bad :/

Found it:

In the "Bloodrayne 2/system" folder open rayne.ini and set
subtitleMode=-1
