How much space is it suppose to take up?.........just wondering

i've gone to some places and it says its 1 gig, Except it looks like its more then that

also on GOG it doesn't really say anything about HDD on its system requirements part.

its between 4.1 and 4.4 gig
it used to come on 4 cd's
