Hey everybody,

I remember this game as on the buggiest I have ever played. Some bugs where annoying and some where gamebreaking.
If the version in GoG patched in any way or can I expect to play the buggy version I played 20 years ago?

Regards...

We played the game all the way through from start to finish and we didn't encounter any game breaking bugs :)
There is one major bug that I know of, I made a new thread for it.

It is however very unfortunate that the CD version with the talkie speech, and the floppy version with the Text, can't be combined. In the CD version you get some extra graphics and nice things, but you can't see the text of any talks, which makes it almost impossible to properly play with.

Regardless of bugs or frustrating game mechanics (the combats) the game is still so worth playing.
The atmosphere, the story, is one of a kind amazing.

Off-topic, but if you are that VioleTAK, I am a major fan of your SC:BW commentary's! MY first real encounter with esports was through you.

ONT: Other then the bugged Strawberry Fields I can't see any major bugs.

At the main menu, turn sound off. That will let you play the CD version with text rather than speech.
There is a "design flaw" in the game that I experienced, when I had this on its Amiga release, so I don't know for sure if it occurs in the PC version.

It's a game-stopper one: at a certain point, as I recall, you need to build a specific piece of hardware and no matter where I looked or traded I couldn't find a crucial component. After digging through the component lists for each piece of hardware I realised that the missing component only existed in one other piece of hardware, which was dropped by a specific enemy in a much earlier combat encounter, and I then realised that I'd already sold it to one of the game's traders.

No matter what I tried, it was impossible to either buy back or find a replacement for this one piece of hardware, bringing me grinding to a halt. I'm pretty sure this wasn't very far from the end of the game and, with the time I'd already put in to getting to that point, I just gave up on considering restarting and I didn't have a save game from before I'd sold the hardware.
Yup,one of the reasons why Bloodnet is notoriously hard is the realistic possibility of getting stuck and not being able to finish the game if you kill some important NPC or sell some crucial item.At least you can use the item editor to get your hands on the needed item, but kill Mother Mary or Chuck (for example) and your only option is to restart the game.
