I just started playing Blood. It's a very long time since I've last played it (Over 10 years I think), and its' a blast.

I have a problem with the inventory system however. The game tells me I can navigate the inventory system with [ and ] but when I push these buttons nothing happens.

I do have some of the inventory items, like the beast vision for example (I know this because I cannot pick up the beast vision anymore from the ground), but I cannot change the inventory slot to it. It stays at the doctors bag, even when I use the bag completely.

How can this problem be solved?

What kind of keyboard do you have? Is it maybe using some function button to enable certain keys?

If that doesn't work, I think most of the items (if not all) have keyboard equivalents that you can press to activate them. Plus you should be able to remap the keys using the setup utility.

If all else fails, you can always try rebinding your keys using the <span class="bold">DOSBox built-in mapper</span>.

It's a bit hard to use, at first, but I came to find it to be quite essential when playing some DOSBox games with a non-US keyboard (key placement in Portuguese keyboards is a bit different than the one found in old keyboards fit for DOS games).

Problem solved. I had to explore a little bit further into the issue and found out that the inventory buttons were placed horizonally, not vertically.
