This would be awesome. I only recently got into Blood (played the first one for the first time last year, I'm just starting Blood II now) and I hope this works out.

Dont know if intentional but thats Blood with an Atari under it meaning WB is no where to be found. meaning this could happen... man, i would love to see a modern Blood game, Shadow Warrior was fantastic, new System Shock looks amazing... Rise of the Triad was amazing and even Duke Nukem Forever (dont care loved it)

But Blood, we are missing this beutiful title... we need it, we have to have it... and if they got the Shadow Warrior PR team i bet it would be a hit.. and we should get the Vicera Clean-up people to make a mod to clean up after Caleb and The Choosen ^_^

Blood 1 is fantastic. Scary and hilarious at the same time.
I would absolutely back it.

The chances are very slim. Even if Warner Bros. / Time Warner acquired the IP rights to Blood franchise, Atari still have a few years left for exclusive publishing it on GOG and Steam.

There's still chance even it it would become spiritual successor or remastered source port, just like for ex. Satellite Reign was legacy of Syndicate Wars due to lack of owning original IP, but we can wait and see how becomes of this.

Alas this is not the first time, even folks behind Transfusion and EDGE engine tried do fan game, so with original cast chances are even better.

I gave up on hoping that some day a source port or remake of this series will ever see the light of day again. Sadly the people in charge over the IP care about the $$$ and not the community, look what happened to Doom, still alive and well. Blood has some die-hard fans that made it easy to play mods and as it was back in the days but it is not perfect.

Every now and then talk of this game pop-up but never ever something happens. Yes i want to see Blood work natively on modern systems and yes I want to see more of Blood just like DOOM did this year (except for the lack-luster multi-player). But I would be very surprised if it actually happened in the next 5 years.

So apparently Samuel "Kaiser" Villarreal, the guy that made a port for Powerslave (EX) and worked on the Turok and Strife remasters for Nightdive, has "secretly" been working on remaking Blood on his KEX engine.

According to his posts in the 4chan thread linked above(he goes by the tripcode Kaiser !!Dsc9yYrTEB+ in the thread) this personal project is on hold while he works on the Turok 2 remaster and, quote, "there won't be any announcement when it's done either". The thread is from april 2016.
