(For Blood 1)

Here are a few clients / front ends you can download to get a Bloodbath or Cooperative multiplayer game started:

Meltdown | http://duke3donline.com <-- Similar to YANG with a superior interface and chatting features. (supports Blood, Duke Nukem 3D, and Shadow Warrior). Details on setting everything up is on the website.

YANG | http://yang-online.com
Hamachi | https://secure.logmein.com/US/products/hamachi2/default.aspx VPN client
Tunngle | http://www.tunngle.net VPN client
Blood Launcher 1.6 | http://www.proasm.com/files/other/BloodLauncherV1.6.zip
^--A front end for multiplayer LAN or VPN clients (thanks Skulldog09)

bMouse v0.6 | http://swisscm.duke4.net/downloads/BMOUSE06.ZIP
^--Fix for mouselook that updates both axes properly for Build Engine games. Please read the README.TXT for instructions. (link added from another thread, thanks to SwissCM)

(For Blood 2)

There is a server in the USA running the Nightmares expansion 24 / 7 (be sure to have the "Nightmares Add-On" box checked or you won't be able to see the server via the multiplayer wizard).

Click the "Multiplayer" button from the launcher > select "Internet TCP/IP", check "Join an existing session" then click Next > give yourself an in-game nickname, select one of the Chosen characters from the list, then goto where it says "Connection Speed" and choose either "LAN Game (18)" or "ISDN/T1 (9)" anything above those will cause a noticeable delay even if your ping is low.... click Next.

Now click on the "Add" button, another window will pop up prompting you to add a host address (in this case enter 71.201.147.108:37915 ) then click ok.

The host's multiplayer session will appear in the top window - the window to the right will show the players that are currently in game. Click the Finished button and enjoy the Bloodbath!

Server info:

Host: The Gravel Pit
Country: United States
Server IP: 71.201.147.108:37915
Nightmares Add-On: enabled
Game type: Bloodbath
Maps: cycled

using yang's singleplayer option (having it set up as noted in my other thread) blood also does not start. but using the GOG shortcut/launcher thing it works flawlessly.

Going to assume your version of DOSbox is 0.73, correct? I've heard this issue popping up with people using 0.72 and soon as they upgraded the game ran without a problem in single player via YANG's single player option.
Also, checking the box that says "Use the following configuration file as a base" helps load your default dosbox.conf file once you have specified the folder that its located in.
Should be located: (for example: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Dosbox folder\dosbox.conf). Otherwise YANG runs its own temporary dosbox.conf file with the necessary settings for single / multiplayer and bypasses your original DOSbox settings.
i do have the latest version. i think it may be the second point you made, but where would i find the gog config file that is used? the play shortcut gog uses:
"C:\Program Files\GOG.com\One Unit Whole Blood\DOSBOX\dosbox.exe" -conf dosboxBlood.conf -noconsole -c "exit"
i searched for the "dosboxblood.conf but didnt find anything
thanks for your help!
Being as the .conf file is hidden you may have to enable hidden files (if it's not on already).I do not have the GoG release yet, but I'm going to guess that the dosbox.conf file should be somewhere in the "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\DOSbox" directory.
I know that's where the file is spawned from a freshly installed version of DOSbox.
You can too create a new .conf file with the command :
config -writeconf dosbox.conf
You can name the .conf file anything you want too. The .conf file will be created in the folder dosbox is installed on. You can create several different .conf files for different setups. You launch dosbox with a specific .conf file by adding it to the dosbox shortcut, like
for example:
c:\dosbox\dosbox.exe -conf dosbox.conf

On Gog release it uses a custom conf file called dosboxBlood.conf and it's located in the same directory of the game ( for example C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\One Unit Whole Blood )
Here is a good lan game and map launcher program.

C:\Documents and Settings\Dodge\Local Settings\Application Data\DOSBox\dosbox-0.73.conf
this is on winXP Dodge=your username
had to use notepad to edit CONF File
changed sblaster irq=7 to irq=5
Yang runs ok for me now!

Yang keeps saying it can't connect, that port 8501 is not being forwarded. I used windows vista 7 x64.
I have got yang single player mode to work and GOG.com's launcher also works.
I also tried Tunngle and it did not work to connect any of my friends trying to play the game.

I've tried Bloodlauncher v. 1.5 and it works really nice. But I cant select the bloodbath maps or user maps. When I try to select an user map, it tells me, "You did not select a level!"
Do you have the same problem or am I doing it wrong.
I can select any of the 5 episodes and it shows the levels for the correct episode. But with Bloodbath it doesn't list the maps

When the window opens up. You might have to open the Maps folder and pick the map you
want to use. The next time it will go right to the Maps folder. I will fix this in my next release.
I will fix the bloodbath level seletor too.
