I would like to play Blood Fresh supply over the Local area network (LAN) in coop mode with the family.

There is multiplayer on the start menu.. But appears to do nothing.

I have read that I should go to command prompt and type "Spawnipserver"... doing this it says.. server spawned on port 5029.

Host computer go to command prompt and puts in "Connectip (Host IP):5029...

Still not seeing each other over the network....

What else can I do to play this game over the LAN?

Hope someone can point me in the correct direction.

Make sure both the host and the client have the same game version (currently 1.9.10)

If you just want to start a LAN server without playing around with GoG Galaxy.

Get the IP address of the computer that is going to act as server. For this example we will just say 192.168.0.2
Launch B:FS on both Server and Client

On the server
Tap the tilda key (~) at your workstation acting as a server and type in the command spawnipserver
This may prompt a firewall action from windows for port 5029

On a client workstation
Tap ~ and type in the command connectip 192.168.0.2 (whatever the IP is of your server)

You and your clients should then be in a pre-game lobby. At the command prompt (~), type map 5 1 to start the bloodbath map The Stronghold, or whatever else you want to play.

map command format can be either:
map mapname or
map episode# map# (ie. map 5 1)

Note that this should also works across GoG and Steam clients as per NatsuruNat's instructions

Is port 5029 TCP, UDP or both?

Also, is there a way to change "Player" to a username of your choice when not using GOG Galaxy?

I believe it is just TCP. Sorry, that was a copy-paste reply I had written a few months back. It's been a while since I had setup a Bloodbath. Start with opening TCP and if need be, up it to UDP.

To [change] your Player name, you can change your %userName% variable while in a command prompt right before launching anuket_x64.exe, or write a batch file to do it.

Bloodbath_UserName.bat

I'm not sure you are doing it right. You need to make sure to run anuket_x64.exe in the same CMD window as the one you just changed your %userName% variable in. If you set your username as something else in a CMD window and then just launch the game from the desktop icon, it won't work.

I got it working now. Correct name will be displayed no matter if I use GOG Galaxy or not.

DustyStyx….. Thank you so much... I followed your instruction by using your examples gaining the IP address from the CMD prompt. Ipconfig/all.

I have now had a coop game playing Blood using the commands in your post.

I am not sure how to play a "Bloodbath" mode. Player verses player or why the game was in Coop mode.

The map I played Coop was at the command prompt type "map 1 1"..

Glad to hear you were able to get it working.

"Bloodbath" is just the term Monolith coined for Blood multiplayer.
For some reason KEX (the engine Blood was ported to for Fresh Supply) can have some spooky damage issues when you jump and crouch in rapid succession. It shouldn't be an issue on LAN play, but over the Internet, with higher pings it may happen. If that is the case you can try running NukeYKT's NBlood

It is actually possible to go to Multiplayer -> Splitscreen, create a one-player game with all the game mode settings you want - including Cooperative - and once in game you can run "spawnipserver" from the console and people can join your game with "connectip". You can start a whole episode in this way and if you do, unlike using the "map" command, you get the in-level music playing. :D
