In the first game Blood for the remastered version, Keep having to name the save slot is there a fix so you can just save the game?
Do you mean when you press enter after naming the save slot, the slot goes back to showing the default <empty>?
I am having the same issue myself. Would like to know if there is a fix. The game seems to actually save because I can find the generated save files in the folder the game uses to save. I just can't load it because the load game menu shows all slots are empty

I am wondering if the bug is related to my Windows 10 user name having non English characters, since the game is using %APPDATA%\ folder as the save location.
But I have my doubt. Since this kind of bug shouldn't even exist in 2019 if the programmer of the port had worked on modern operating systems.

Edit: Just confirmed that my issue is related to the user folder under %APPDATA%\ containing non-English characters.I hope so is yours. Until they fix this, a temporary solution is to create a new local log-in account on your PC with a name using only English characters.

Makes no difference. Its a issue with the new version. My username is all English characters and I still have to name a save each time as it wipes the name.

I second this. It would be much easier if it kept the old save game name, instead of blanking it every time I re-save.
One New Whole Blood had no issue like this. Most likely will be fixed with the next update from Nightdive
