I'm pissed off with dosbox configuration on GOG games... I hate the idea of get a terrible framerate for a '98 game while I have a PC that can run games like Doom 3 with no lag.

Any way to solve this problem?
Thanks

Change the display mode. Navigate to Start - All Programs - GOG.com - Blood - Graphics Mode setup.

I use "openglnb," but performance varies between users. Try OpenGL, Surface, etc.

I already tried this but performance has not improved too much. :-/
It's still lagging.

PS: I replaced the DosBox files for the new ones (0.74) but it didn't help anyway.
I searched the support forum and I found many people having the same problem. If some day anyone find a better solution please let me know, or stick the thread...

I have the game running perfectly fine. There's some slowdown when the screen fills with particles, but other than that it's at a normal speed. Here's some settings I usually change in DOSBox configuration files to get games to run well. Unsure if it'll help you, though.

Open "dosboxBlood.conf" in the Blood folder.

[sdl]
fullscreen=true
fulldouble=true
fullresolution=1920x1080
windowresolution=original
output=openglnb

[dosbox]
language=
machine=svga_s3
captures=capture
memsize=64

[render]
frameskip=0
aspect=true
scaler=none

[cpu]
core=auto
cputype=auto
cycles=auto
cycleup=10
cycledown=20

[mixer]
nosound=false
rate=44100
blocksize=1024
prebuffer=50

DOSBox isn't Doom
Ummm ... I found that 320x240 resolution is the one that runs the game with better framerate. The game slows down when on higher resolutions (in-game configurations). Probably becouse the limitations of DOS emulation.

Well... doesn't matter, at least I can play the game well, even in low resolutions. Thank you anyway. :-)
