So i'm trying to run Blood on YANG. It runs fine single player through dosbox when i run it outside yang. I can connect to the master server fine through yang (Via the Advertise room; works fine).

But when i try to launch single player or a multiplayer game through yang it loads up the first series of prompts up to Initializing Sound System, and then a seperate screen pops up for a split second (I assume with the error but it's too fast to read).

So what am i doing wrong?

Maybe your YANG settings are off? Here are screens of mine, which work for me. (Was playing perfectly fine yesterday.)

Yours is a bit different than mine. I have my BLOOD.EXE loaded into the same box (Yours is just through a different directory. G: drive?)

I have nothing in the user maps directory, but if you are just playing with the pre loaded maps you should not need anything there, yes?

And i have doxbox.exe located and checked through the dosbox tab, but i do not see a dosbosblood.conf to load under the base tab.

Likewise i do not have a mounted image, but since it's installed i should not need this?

Edit: I found dosboxblood.conf, but putting it into the base tab did not do anything.

I use the OUWB Launcher that's in the sticky of this board, so there's some differences. In the "Blood" tab, I'd be sure to specify the game EXE. In the "DOSBox" tab, fill out all that I have. If you have the GOG version, you'll have "dosboxBlood.conf" in your Blood folder, along with "game.gog" I'd mount the image anyway, just in case.
Ok i put the .conf file where you had it and mounted the game.gog, but now it won't even load the initial load screen for blood (Like i was getting before)
Here's an attachment of how far it goes. After this nothing happens =(

It might be best to do a full reinstall of both Blood and YANG. I'm not sure why it's hanging.

Also, update the DOSBox to version 0.74, as there are a bunch of improvements over 0.73.
I can try that. Any ideas if it doesn't work? -_-

EDIT:

sigh..redid both same thing. This is frustrating =(

That is strange. Honestly, I have no idea why it doesn't work. As a substitute, you can use GOG's already-made multiplayer configuration files. Go to GOG.com - Blood folder in the start menu and click Host/Join Network Game.

So to use this built in one i just create a game through the Host, and others join through the Client via my IP?

And if so and it works how do you change the map once you're in?

Yep, it works exactly like that.

I'm not sure, I've only ever used these GOG-made configs for Duke 3D, which was for co-op. YANG does make it easier to select modes/maps.
