I'm thinking of buying this game from here, but I already have an old CD copy of blood (which doesn't work in Vista, naturally.) If the GOG site version needs DosBox, I'll just run it with my old copy instead of buying it, but it would be well worth it to but a second copy if I can run the game without messing with DosBox or anything like that. Answers anyone?

The GOG.com version of One Unit Whole Blood relies on Dosbox. Even if you already own Blood, it would be a good idea to buy it (it's cheap) if:
1) You own a regular copy of Blood without the two expansions (Plasma Pack, Cryptic Passage),
2) You're worried about losing or having the CD scratched.
And it's nifty to have an installer set everything up for you, so you don't have to manually configure the Dosbox environment, but it's entirely up to you. :)

Well, if it automatically configures DosBox, then I guess I can't go wrong. My main opposition to DosBox wasn't the program itself, it was setting it up. I tried setting it up on an XP machine and had problems getting it to work. Also my CD copy is old. I haven't even dusted it off to yet....
