Ghostbreed: Pretty sure he means the GOG version. Why would he even bother asking here if he used the CD version?
There's lots of other places to ask about the CD version.
I ask here a lot about games of which I have the original CDs. These are the only active game forums for some (not sure how active other Blood sites are though).
DustyStyx: The CP tiles probably didn't get renamed correctly before the game launched, or after it closed out last time.
If you installed under Program Files, cryptic.exe might not have inherited the rights to rename files. Make sure you have launched your cryptic shortcut as administrator.
cryptic.exe renames
CPART07.AR_ as
TILES007.ART and
CPART15.AR_ as
TILES015.ART before it launches the game. Check your game folder for some miss-named ART files. They may be named .AR_
stuffguy24: I have both TILES015.ART and CPART15.AR_ same with the other file I have both versions, I assume from uninstalling and reinstalling. Is it a problem to have both? I also had to run it as admin, wouldn't launch for me without it.
Try renaming them manually.
Make back up copies of TILES007.ART and TILES015.ART
Rename CPART07.AR_ as TILES007.ART and CPART15.AR_ as TILES015.ART
Start Cryptic Passage
(you'll probably have to rename them back when you start original Blood).
Alternatively just reinstall outside Program Files.
