As many Blood fans know, there was never a proper source release for the game. With time, source ports have been able to accurately recreate the experience of Blood for modern platforms through reverse-engineering.

But know, we may finally have some closure. Nukeykt (the main dev behind NBlood source port) with the help of some others has seemingly reconstructed the entire source code for the original MS-DOS version of Blood. This is the closest we may ever get to having the original source code available to the public.

Well, that's neat. I wonder if there are plans on doing the various iterations. It'd be interesting to see what changed along the way between 1.0 and 1.21.

Sticking it to Warner Brothers (the owners of the Blood IP) is great. I will never understand why these corporations are so stubborn about something like source code, but now, that no longer matters regarding Blood's source code.

Because it cost more money to hire programmers and lawyers to sort out what to them is not a problem.
Had this release 10 years ago would be huge.

The saga for a proper Blood Source Port took years.
