So... With running Blood II as intended, the game does load, but everything starts flashing out of control. Upon booting up a game, it just looks like an absolute mess of fucked up textures, black backgrounds and floors, more flashing, etc.

I tried running the game in Compatibility Mode, and it gives me the following error message:

"ERROR - Unable to find the blood2.rez file. Please make sure that Blood2 is installed properly and that your Blood2 CD is in the CD-ROM drive."

Any idea on how to get this to run properly? This is another one of those games that ran perfectly on Windows 10 but is just janky as hell on Windows 11.

I was able to launch it on my laptop as I just purchased the game yesterday. I will have to test it on my gaming PC later on to see if it is 100% working. I didn't run into the issues you mentioned. As for the error you got when trying compatibility mode, that perhaps is as a result of compatibility mode breaking whatever GOG did to get the game working.

I recommend checking out the pc gaming wiki entry for Blood II. See if anything there might apply to your pc specifically. The first two things you will want to try are dgvoodoo2, which sort of emulates old 3d cards and hardware. That is the #1 fix for many old games. You could also try Peixoto's patch. He makes a universal patch that fixes compatibility and adds quality of life and modern features to many old games. However, I would recommend trying dgVoodoo 2 first. Hope that helps.

Are your blood2, blood2p and other Rez files in place? If so, they may have been corrupted.

Unfortunately, both of those resulted in a black screen with the sound playing. So I guess it's just a different issue. I'll continue troubleshooting this. Thank you for the resources, though.

Yes, these are all in place. Given that this exact issue happens with every Monolith game I own, it has to be a compatibility mode issue. It's just a shame that it doesn't work normally either lol
