Either go to the startmenu or the games folder and look for a setup.exe file, as its a build engine game I assume it has one. It will have sound options in there if it doesn't have one to turn the music off just set it to a sound setting that doesn't work.

If your on win7 or vista be sure to run this program as an administrator and then save and exit it using the setup menu.

I've set music card to none and I have set music to 0 and it still happens. Thanks for trying though.
Ah, I found out how to prevent the music from playing. All I had to do was delete the music files from the folder.

But... the music is great! One of my favorite things about Blood is the soundtrack and really all of the audio. It's a big part of the atmosphere.

But hey, at least you figured out how to play it the way you want to play it.
To further help those who aren't sure which files. Just remove all the .ogg files in the blood folder by deleting them or moving them somewhere else.

So I know this is probably necro-posting by now, but then again, this IS a game where many of the bad guys are undead, right...? ^^; Anyway, I wanted to listen to the MIDIS instead of the CD Audio. Does this method work for that purpose too?

For example, in E1M1, instead of Unholy Voices from the CD Audio, there are times where I might want to opt to listening to unholy.mid, that level's assigned midi file.

EDIT: Ah, it does work... I just wasn't sure, because with the CD Audio on or off, that creepy guy is still chanting in E1M5, the level I was on.

Cocheese:
I removed the ogg files, but the music remains.
Change game.ins to game.gog in dosboxBlood_single.conf, (that enables midi though) there's no need for anything else.

I was trying to disable the music as well by removing the .ogg files in the blood folder and it worked but also it caused the computer generated cutscene at the beginning of the game to be removed. Dont know how to restore it
