So I finally got Blood II to run correctly on Windows 8
To stop any stuttering I have to type in "MaxFPS 60" every time I load the game. If I put it in the autoexec, when loading a level the game overrides it. Is there anyway to stop the game from over riding the command?

make it read only. Just right-click>Properties & check the read-only box

I think there is also a defaults config file along with the autoexec that you can add it to and that will slip it in each time that refreshes, but I don't remember the exact name of that file.

Tried setting autoexec to read only. I mean the command IN GAME overrides it, its still in the config file.

Add the command to the command prompt line where you would put the enableretaillevels command in the blood 2 launcher in the advanced window.

Ok don't use windows 8. That's all I got.

I just used Nvidia Inspector to cap it, works fine with no issue.

Nice. I'm sure you've helped many people out. Win 8 has been so tough on Blood 2 gamers.

I wonder if there is an ATI equivalent of nVidia Inspector.

I know there is, but I'll be damned if I can't remember the name.

Radeon Pro? It stopped development a while ago, but it still works for every new AMD/ATI GPU that came out in between. Or you could always use Catalyst Control Center, even though it's a bit clunky; the recent updates made it a little better than what it was.

In all honesty, I've never had an issue with ATI cards, most games just *run*. They may be worse than nVidia's, but they're also less finnicky, there's not the excessive need to "HD game x, FPS cap game y, download specific game-related driver for game z, etc". Games usually run, the exception being those that are problematic on all graphics cards or that don't support AMD GPUs, which aren't that many to begin with.
