I'll be changing my screen name to compatibility_mode_guy before the week's out.

Seeing as your running b2 in a 64 bit OS I assume you're already using compatibility mode.
It should be set to any of the following; xp,/2000/98. Advanced text services should be off. Visual themes should be disabled.
I have and i-5, so I'll assume that our processor is similar.

When I launched the game, I had some issues (which thanks to my Alzheimer I can't remember). What I remember is that by selecting the intel graphics, the game ran just fine. So go to the launcher (not ingame) and under "graphics device" or something like that, check if you can select intel graphics please.
Also, what 64-bit OS are you using? Because if it's Linux and you are using Wine, it might be the source of the lag.

EDIT: Silly me, Windows 8 xD. I should start reading what I read xD

Im sorry :(
I know this sounds harsh and I apologize for that. It's only fair to for us assume however that you have some rudimentary computer skills seeing as you're here, logged into a registered account, and were able to get blood2 running at all. These games are a little old and need minor tweaking to get them running on modern systems.
I hope the person who set up the computer for you will look over this thread, possibly getting the game running using this and other instructions?

I just need to know what javihyuga meant by "go to the launcher (not in-game)" thing. And sorry for being a worthless hunk of shit for not knowing what to do, :( I just feel like im pestering you and I really wish I didn't have to. God I hate myself for doing that. :(

Lol, it was a joke. I'm very forgetful, but I (hope) don't have that serious problem. Thanks for your concern anyways

First of all, don't feel guilty. You lack some knowledge (which is natural in this life) and you are trying to acquire it in these forums. You are asking it nicely, being helpful (posting your specs i.e) and are willing to learn. And you are not forcing us to nothing. You have asked something and we are TRYING to fix it. And when the solutions don't work, you are still nice and we try another workaround. So don't feel guilty because we (at least I) have dealt with assholes who demand help, are asses and even don't say thank you. I wish all people who ask for help where as polite and willing to learn as you are.

Regarding the issue, I'm trying to do a step-by step solution. However, I cannot assure if it will work. Before starting, read all the steps and try to understand them. If you do not understand a step or don't know how to do anything, don't hesitate and ask either me (or anyone in the forums) or your dad.

·First of all, uninstall the game. (Just click "unins000.exe" in the game directory).

·Then, if you have installed a cleaning software, like CCleaner, I would run it. I suppose it's not mandatory though.

·When the game is uninstalled, reinstall the game, but make sure you execute the program as administrator.
In order to accomplish this, simply right-click the file and look for the option.

·Make sure you install the game outside program files For example, C:\Games or C:\qufqy7f6qgfh. Whatever you want, but NOT THE DEFAULT PATH.

·Once the game is installed, right click "BLOOD2.EXE" and set the compability options (you might have to trial and error, but make sure that executing as admistrator is selected).

·Once this is done, you can use the desktop shortcut to launch the game. The launcher shall appear. Click display and check if you can select something called Intel and the lowest resolution.
(I'm sorry I cannot show you the exact "intel" option, but I forgot to install it and I cannot install right now because I don't have much time).

Don't apply the batch file and try my options. If they don't work, play around with the options (selecting other SO in compability, selecting other options, changing the resolution under display, etc.). You can also play around with graphics options in-game (remember experience is the mother of science).

If nothing works, apply the batch too.

I have been playing around with options, because now I was the one who couldn't run the game! And now I can play it.
Keep in mind though that I have an ATI videocard.

I'll just upload a photo and try to copy these options.

EDIT: the 2nd has better graphics

When i go to advance options, and click a check box and then start the game it never is checked anymore :(
Did you follow ALL my steps?
Troll threads are fun until someone gets hurt. The fact that this one actually misinforms future players trying to find solutions is rather sad. Hopefully we'll get that sticky up some day.
For the record, that field with the graphics cards from 1998 doesn't do anything. Blood 2 will use the default hardware on your system no matter what. It's either hardware or software mode. You can set these from options.

Banshee? really? A video card from 1996? That's just awesome. Maybe I'll install one on my isa slot as soon as this Alzheimers clears up.

For anyone having real trouble running blood2, please use the the forum's search function or click through older pages manually . This problem pops up every 3 months or so.

Peace
