Hey.

I'm running into mouse input issues when playing Blood 2 under Windows 10.
The input is very jerky/stuttery, especially when moving around at the same time - it's almost like the cursor jumps every second or so.

Sometimes, the console also says "Input buffer overflow on mouse".

I went through the steps described in other threads:
- Vsync on/off
- FPS limit on/off (including "maxfps 60" in console)
- Compatibility mode
- Checking "disable directx6 commands" and "Disable joysticks"

Any ideas?

Burret: Any ideas?
I would try using dgVoodoo2: follow this guide.

I am using dgVoodoo2 to run the game already. :)
Are you using a gaming mouse that runs on some .NET library? It may be the way it translates between the game dgVoodoo2 and DirectX itself. On the launch menu there is a link for advanced settings, in there there is a checkbox for a DirectX option, try toggling that.

Yeah, "Disable DirectX6 commands". I tried that already, as stated in the OP. :)

Yes you did, sorry. Just curious tho, have you tried a different mouse?
Try fucking with the mouse smoothing setting in the settings. I did that and it's pretty smooth now. Otherwise try turning your mouse's polling rate down if you can.

I tried a mouse that by default has a very low polling rate (125 Hz) but that didn't help, either. The movement is still jerky with that mouse.

However, messing with the smoothing settings and manually checking (and setting) a few checkboxes in the registry did help. I hope that Blood 2 gets the makeover the first game got at some point.

Thanks for your input, everyone. :)

What checkboxes in the registry?

This is a patch for shogo's mouse pointer issue over at GitHub .

I have no idea if it will work for B2, but it could be worth a shot.

That helped me with a different issue, i kept having the spinning blue loading cursor icon on my crosshair. This fixed that and also my mouse movement.

If it's actually feeling like the game is lagging despite being at 60 fps, this file has seeming fixed it for me
