Are you running in XP compatibility mode?

I tried them all and shortly after posting that I checked EVERY post in the Blood forum and found one specific to that problem. It seems to run great so long as I keep the resolution at 1024 x 768. Any higher and it's kaput. While I would like to be able to run it totally maxed out it still looks pretty good and hey, who buys Blood 2 for the graphical realism!? This ain't CoD! XD

There are several other post for making files to shut down cores and such but I just want a quick bloody romp and it's not worth the effort. I get my moneys worth on the opening subway alone. :D
