Well then go ahead and don't use it, jeez.
All I'm doing is informing people of a potential problem with the mod. If you don't use a PS4 controller, or you don't mind using an external application like DS4Windows, then this won't matter to you. But it's worth pointing out the flaws as well as the benefits of the mod.
I have tested the Verok patch and it runs fine and smooth. It can e a good alternative for a lot of people, but honestly I prefer the flood and framerate of the GOG version. It probably has a lot to do with the version I played for the first tim. I feel the Verok patch "too fast" for my tastes. The worst downsides are the lack of the good translations and fan made translations, subtitles. high quality sounds etc...Pretty polished.

To fix the blank spaces on the joystick column you have to install the full patch (1.51 GB), as for the DualShock 4 problems mine works without hiccups (although without feedback) via USB (I misplaced my Bluetooth dongle so I can't test wireless), but I'm running it via WINE, the Xbox One controller works fully.

EDIT: Found the Bluetooth dongle, the game detects it without problem wireless.

I seem to have some problem with Verok's (full) patch.

The vanilla GOG version works fine for me out of the box (even if it obviously runs in a lower framerate, just like the original PC version). This is a Windows 10 Pro laptop where I am playing the game.

I copied the Verok's patch files over the installation, and something is wrong with the controls when I start a new game.

First of all, I can move only downwards in the menu, with the down arrow. Up arrow does not work, I am pretty sure it did work in menus before. I can still luckily navigate in the menus, but I have to cycle through it downwards, if I want to go to the upper menu items.

When I started the game itself though, the character constantly goes up-left all the time, even if I am not touching any controls. Pushing down or right arrow stop the character, but does not move it, so I am stuck in the tavern. I don't have any gamepad connected so that shouldn't affect it.

I will try if the control config within the game says anything, but with the vanilla version I didn't have to touch the controls at all. Anyone else seen this issue?

EDIT: I checked the ingame control config and it didn't offer any explanation... So right now the Verok's patch is unplayable for me.

EDIT2: I confirmed the vanilla GOG version does not have these issues, by uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game (in order to get rid of the Verok's patch files).

EDIT3: I wrote the same question to the Verok comments section, in case someone else there knows.

I have this same problem.

Also with other versions appart from gog, with or without Verok's patch.

I can only play the plain gog version (but I wanted subtitles...)
Ok, just In case someone reads this with the same problem: I found the issue...

It detects my webcam as a gamepad!!

I disconnected it and now it works fine

Timu problem happened in modded game. Your case - in clean version.
Solution for him probably is renaming dinput.dll (+ddraw.dll) before installing GL mod-wrapper.
This is amazing. Worked right from the start. Just unzip and move it into the game folder, and you're off. Recognized my xbox 360 controller, and everything appears to run more smooth.

Thanks for the heads up on this community patch. I'm pretty sure I would have uninstalled this game if I hadn't found it.
Since the blogspot link is now dead thanks to current events, can any kind soul upload the .zip file for Verok's wrapper for someone looking to play Blood Omen during these times?
