UPDATE: I went through the XMLs and I saw that the multiplayer menu XML matched the Steam Version. just for grins, I clicked the area where the LAN game box is supposed to be in the menu and it went to the LAN menu. The problem with LAN is that the button is not displaying. When I figure out where the conflict is, I will post the fix.

UPDATE 2: I have located the source of the problem with LAN games. The file Multiplayer.layout in the /data/Gui/Layouts/MainMenu/Legendary folder disables the button on line 152. This cannot be a bug and appears to be intentional on the part of the Developer in order to dummy out LAN play. People who own the Steam version can simply copy this file from their Steam copy's directory to the GOG version to restore the LAN game button. People who do not own the Steam copy can just click the blank space above the Internet Leagues button ( parallel with the Single Player Button) and it will go to LAN anyway.

My next task is to see if I can find the cause for the stupid 40 second turn bug. As far as the missing tooltip bug goes, all of the graphics files are present and I suspect another broken layout file.

@AdmiralBarrett
Thank you for your efforts, dude.

I contacted gog support about this. They know about the problems but there are no news about fixing it, at the moment. I could refund the game if I wish, but I hope it will be fixed soon.
The consensus from GOG is that the Developer has to fix it. However, the way the Dev's website is set up, you cannot report it because it is not "supported" on the Support website. Bad move on the Dev's part in my book.
So. Thats bad news for my plans playing the game, then...
I submitted a ticket at the link above informing them that the game has a number of issues. I couldn't select the correct department so I just went ahead and submitted it to one of the other Blood Bowl selections and asked them to please forward it to the correct department. No idea if anything will be done to fix it.

I don't want to ask for a refund yet because I really want the game but I don't want to get stuck with a game that's unplayable either. I hope it's fixed soon!

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

You can make the button visible by removing property "Alpha" and Property !Disabled" from the XML

Excerpt from Multiplayer.layout [line 152]
<Window Type="BBLook/Button01" Name="Multiplayer/LANGame" >
<!--<Property Name="Disabled" Value="0" />-->
<Property Name="Text" Value="GUI_LAN" />
<!--<Property Name="Alpha" Value="0" />-->
<Property Name="Tooltip" Value="TOOLTIP_LAN" />
<Property Name="ShowDelay" Value="0.2" />
<Property Name="UnifiedAreaRect" Value="{{0.015625,0},{0.261881,0},{0.274414,0},{0.316568,0}}" />
<Property Name="HorizontalAlignment" Value="Centre" />
</Window>

So they are selling a game that they KNOW doesn't work. Great. Think I'm done with GOG for good.
Just an update that the mouse and turn timer issues are still not fixed, for anyone thinking of buying it in the current sale.

You must of never bought from other stores. I remember steam and gamersgate selling games that did not work on modern hardware.

Thanks, was curious if this was ever resolved.

Just checking in to see if there's been any progress with this bug.

Out of curiosity, if you own both the Steam version and the GoG version, can you simply copy the files over from Steam directory to the GoG directory and be done with it? I honestly figure this has already been attempted, but I have not heard of anybody posting about such an attempt.

**EDIT** And I just found the other message showing you already copied the Data files from steam to GoG and fixed the LAN problems. My apologies.

The Developer has never issued a patch addressing any of these issues. All of the fixes I have listed in prior posts is all that can be done to the best of my ability. I would suggest that people just buy the Steam version. It works. This version is busted.
Yup we must remember not to buy Cyanide shit again.
Is it still bugged in 2023?

Yes, it still is...
I've just bought it putting my trust in GoG and for the first time i feel cheated.
Hope it will be fixed soon but seriously doubt it.
