Are there any guides/walkthroughs for part one of the anthology, there seem to be for the expansions but not for the original game. I probably won't even use them but it's nice to have one handy just in case.

And yes I googled a few but like I said I only found expansion guides.

I also tried to find one last year as I recall it existed, but I am afraid they vanished as they were rather old, and hosted in threads in the now-defunct CDV forums... (www.cdv.de, and cdv usa...)

I am afraid the threads does not exist anymore. Perhaps someone saved/compiled the info and kept it somewhere, but I highly doubt.
Besides, I recall it was mainly translations from Russian or German (or French, like me), and nothing well organized as the campaigns were not very hard. I did again all of them last year at very hard settings, and as far as I recall, it was rather ok for most battles.

Thanks and just from playing the first bit I'm not really devastated a few can't be found. I just don't want a Settlers 4 repeat; there is a good chance you would actually need walkthroughs for those and all of the ones online are in German which means VERY rough translations, even if you have a good translating browser.

In my opinion, a walkthrough isn't really necessary until you get to Blitzkrieg II. In that one they throw some surprises at you that can mean you lose if you don't happen to have the right combo of units left over, or the right positioning when those surprises hit. Blitzkrieg I didn't have any of that, and you'll likely be fine just reading through whatever tips are posted here in this forum.

As soon as finish KOTOR 2 I'm going head long into Blitzkrieg. If I need help I will no doubt become the most annoying person you have ever met.
