With the apogee promo?
I just got all 3 games and Duke Nukem 3D.
I am hoping I will be able to set these up to work with my Logitech joystick.

I'll get both later, without any promo. Don't want to rip either GOG or Apogee of their money - they are great guys.
Got both some time ago, promo-less.

Hmm, this is a promotion, not a rippoff. They will actually make more money this way, since more people will buy now that the price is lower.

Ripoff and ripoff.
I'm pretty sure GoG has profit margins set so that they're still making money off the promos too without knocking any less money upstairs to the developers.

So to you this promo is basically a rippoff?

I know. They wouldn't be doing that unless it would be good for them in a long play. Still I'm doing what I consider right. I am not a rich person (currently I have $4 and a rather modest payroll is only in Thursday), yet I can afford to pay $6-10 monthly for a game. It's really not much: I'd rather save penny here and there on not drinking beer one extra time or passing on getting ice-cream or something like that. I admire GOG. I want to pay more to them, not less.
Of course 100x5 is more than 20x6, Math isn't that hard to do. It's great how the sales skyrocket when there are special deals around. It's wonderful when people try out games they never would otherwise.
What saddens me a bit, is seeing people talking "I like the game but I'll wait till the special promo arrive". OK. OK. Preserving few bucks saves their day. Maybe. I feel sorry for those guys. Must be hard times they endure, even worser than my own.

What?
It isn't a ripoff of anybody.
It's not a ripoff of GoG or Apogee as they are both still making money.
It's not a ripoff of the customer as we're getting originally cheap games at a discount.

I'm sorry if I failed to articulate my idea in a clear way. I meant not "ripoff" as in "they lose money they had", but as in "they lose money they might had had", which is equally important for business.
This discount deal is a perfectly thought-of one: Blake Stone series doesn't seem so popular on GOG. Might as well stir some interest in them...
But still I'd like to pay full price for it. Any additional dollar counts. I don't think GOG incomes are that big.

Never tried an fps, not even oldschool one, with a joystick...is it any good?

I had a joystick back in the day. Generally, I felt first person shooters played better with plain old keyboard controls... At least until the modern keyboard + mouse combo came about as we know it today.
Got both games and beat both games.... definitely worth the 4 bucks.

Really your intention are good I also know some guys of Apogee they are great. But companies are not dumb. When you see an offer you like do not stop buying (if you can). You can buy more and save more.

when you put a product on sale there are certain variables that must be considered.

Real price (or gain margin), 1st and the 2nd Added on real price, production costs, advertising, maintenance, taxes, distribution costs, goods and services ... so many of these costs are borne in the first years of life of the product.

In this state of life they only have the actual price (or gain margin), 1st and the 2nd Added, taxes and distribution costs.

When they make an offer only to move the 2nd added that they had no advertising. We're talking about old games that are easy to get illegally and already almost nobody is interested in them. as gamers always have something to buy a COD, FIFA, Forza, HALO (it hurts even true). when the offer appears in the home. focus our view that neither we remembered games (or were waiting to buy ... someday). There are great sales why not just buy it for us, also give it away to a friend or family member.

There is another advantage of this? ... yes

Not everyone knows Duke Nukem (even if it seem Joke), and Blake stone, not even Rise of the Triad. aperecer as a bid to achieve that people buy this game just for cheap (we consumerist).

I'll give you one example of many. I bought divinity without knowing and without even having tried the demo (if any). "Just because it was cheap and 3 games for $ 15 is a bargain" they did not lose money unless "they made money from a guy who was not even aware of its existence."

That gets gog, Advertisement for offers, new users, you buy more games is not the same game Pay a 5.99 Vs 2.99 five games (of which only had bought two at most). you visit the site to see new deals, Impusive buy for customers, more accurate statistics on what type of games sold more ... etc This is the same for "BLACK FRIDAY". or "El BUEN FIN" of my country.

I know nobody will read this. but I like to explain if anyone. had doubts about the deals. :)

Thank you, that was really insightful :).
