Any plans for this to release on Steam as well?

Why would you want a DRM version when you can have a game that is actually your own when you buy it? Plus, I guess it's too old for Steam, that is more for the new, "cool" stuff.

Because I like to have my games on Steam, in one nice neat place with all the friends functions, etc.
Old games come out on Steam too.

Why should GoG just hand over something they're partially responsible for existing in the first place (in this case, the first ever official digital re-release of Blade Runner) to a competitor's platform?
That's not how it works.

You can always try the new GOG Galaxy 2.0. Then you can have your Steam & GOG games in one place (plus UPlay, Origin and other launchers) :)

Also it might come to Steam eventually when EA starts putting their games on there again. Apparently that's going to happen soon. (I'm guessing EA owns this now after the Westwood takeover back in the day)

Personally I don't want to install yet another launcher on my machine, hence why I'm hoping this old gem will make it's over to Steam at some point.

Don't think this will come to steam.
Still i would use GoG Galaxy 2 and never use Steam or anything else again.
So you only have 1 launcher to bind them all. ^^

Yeah I understand. And even if you use GOG Galaxy you in anyway need the other launchers installed.

I don't really mind that much having all of them installed (I don't have any of them set to launch on startup), but what I do find frustating is not knowing where a game gets released. This has now become more of an issue with Epic, seeing as you know EA games will be on Origin and Ubisoft games on Uplay.

I hope the day comes where you can somehow redeem games you already own on Steam or whatever you prefer to use. But that's probably never going to happen :(

I wouldn't be so sure EA owns the rights to this game, that's something worth looking into plus there is to also consider that Virgin Interactive was the publisher and so who knows who fully owned what contractually.

I for one would bulk at the idea Steam getting that game, for a number of reasons but the main one is the fact that they don't do DRM free but put their own DRM, and often others' on top on it.

Because it is TOO old, there is no "enhanced edition" or "remake" which would sell well enough for Steam
to get it/list it.
Of course there are old games on steam, but most of them are there because of remakes or enhanced editions( or sequel/prequel) or because they were released there in the first place.

Also i don't know who, besides GoG, has the rights to release digital version, as the publisher was Virgin Interactive it

You're aware that Galaxy is optional and, especially in case of singleplayer games, doesn't need to be installed in order to download, install, update and play games released on GoG, right?

Hi, yes I'm completely aware of that. but as I stated before I specifically want to buy the game on Steam (or at least obtain a Steam key) so that the game is with all my others in my Steam library. It's just a personal preference thing.
