Any tips for defeating this *&*%$^ please?

Its the one that teleports behind you after you manage to knock him down to under 2000 health. I'm playing as the Barbarian and I just can't get it together enough to defeat this guy. Difficulty spike!

Awesome game though..

Depending on which weapon you use. I would use a fast weapon with a wide damage spread like the long sword. Use the "hellswing" so that only the redish "hellswing" hits him. When he teleposrts behind you use the abilitie named "back smash". Then its just down to timing and patience. :D

This, especially the back smash.

Also, when you are low on health, use the Queen's Sword's special attack. It siphons a lot of HP from that particular enemy. One succesful combo can refill your health almost entirely!

Back Smash, Back Smash, Back Smash. There's really nothing else to say, as that otherwise useless move is tailor made for vampire fights.

BTW, this guy is one of the hardest fights in the game, so don't worry if he kicks your behind a few times - it gets better!
This bastard took me a while with Knight. In fact, I could not defeat him at all. In gamefaq I found out that the reason was that I missed medium armor for my knight. So I had to redo almost whole level, get the armor, and then I was able to kill that fuckah.
Just ran into this fight again last night, and after a looong combat, I managed to kill the freak on my first try - even though I hadn't played Severance in many years. Here's a little-known secret: you can use the Queen's Sword to suck his HP dry and heal yourself at the same time, the Necromancer does NOT count as undead! The fight took so long because both of us had vampiric attacks. Each was at a few hundred HP at several points, only to heal up from the other's HP again!

Fun? Not really, stressful as hell, but cool in a way all the same.
Drink Power Potion, do a rightly timed big move with the best weapon you can afford (the best you have found up until then), and when he tries to block his shield shatters, you sustain substantial damage (because it was a vampire shield), and then you proceed to beat the thing recklessly. Cornering him to a wall, especially with continuous knight south cross, won't even give him time to teleport. If he does so, though, back attack him until dead. Sometimes on your first run, if you hit really quick and really powerfully, you can kill it before the cutscene, thus gaining a lot of xp; he continues normally though, talking and riding the dragon, if he never died at all. One of the bugs.
While playing Dwarf, I found the Ice Hammer to be low damage, but the special attack is quick and safe, and you can land it almost 100% when ever he trows his weapon. Dodge-Run up and do move. But why I am writing is a bug.

After I defeat him, I see the cut-scene with the little Rubber Johny fellow, and then it stops on a black screen, the only responsive key is Esc, after which I can maneuver the menu(load, save, all of them), but cannot go back in game( I click enter on the option, it makes the sound, but does nothing.) I have defeated the guy many times, it is always the same thing.
