This game brings back so many memories.

This was probably the first game i bought with my own money, I randomly picked it from the shelf after seeing the cool pictures on the back, and I was so disappointed when i got home and couldn't run it on the family computer.

A few years passed and we got a new pc and I could finally run it, and I was hooked for so long, i remember the graphics looking amazing even for back then(could be blinded by nostalgia now though)

So thanks and hopefully it is just as i remembered and not a complete disappointment now that I am much older.

Every time I end up talking about good old games, Severance usually pops up along with the phrase "wish it'd be on GOG;" so happy it finally is.

I also couldn't run it when I'd bought it - so I used to go to a friend's house to play it, because he had a TNT32.

Also, fun things to do: all stats are in clear text in config files. I used to edit those to give Sargon a thousand times the strength, then throw short swords to cut enemies in half.
I second this.

I'm really grateful for this one, was waiting and hoping for it to appear on GOG for a long time.

Thanks!
After playing some from the GoG release, this definitely still holds up! i thought i would be completely blinded by nostalgia in thinking it was the best game ever made, it still is an amazing game, even though the controls can get a bit clunky and getting used to again. I am so happy i get to play this game again.

I am playing it for the first time ever now and absolutely love it. One of those timeless classics.
Still of course I wish the original band that made it got together and made Severance 2 with new technology, but without compromises.
My thanks to GOG.com for getting this game! I desperately tried to find it from various stores couple years back but failed. Once again GOG has brought back a true classic from the past!

Some big thanks here too... I've been waiting years and years to play this game again. After SS2 was released, all I could think was, "I wish Severance was on Gog." Imagine my surprise :)
Got it too. I loved the original, but i missed it, thus i was force to have it pirated back then. Now at last, i found the perfect chance to both atone and enrich my collection with this masterpiece of a game. Thank you GoG!
Blade of Darkness was always one of my favourite action games and probably the title I wanted to see on GOG the most. My computer was not powerful enough back when it came out, all I could do is run the demo at 20 fps and gawk at the graphics. When I finally bought the game to play on my Voodoo 3 system, it took me a while to get past the punishing difficulty (I was never good at video games). As I play Blade of Darkness now, I am amazed by how well it aged for a 2001 title. The gameplay is just as deep and rewarding as I remember and while the story is hardly memorable, the game makes up for it with the atmosphere.
Here, in Spain, It's called Blade : The edge of Darkness. This game was made by a spanish studio called Rebel Act and at the present time continuous being one of the most significative spanish game.

I always like this game but I can't play in my own PC when it was released, so I had to prove it in a friend's house. I lost
two oportunities to buy it with national video games magazines. And finally it's here on gog. I bought it since it was released.

So, thank you very much for add a spanish game with spanish language.
Totally agree with all of you!
Hard (or maybe never) to find a hack-and-slash game reach class of Severance. And thanks GOG again for bringing the classics back from grave.

/ps: And i still can't drop my goddamn bow, lol

Thats a very big gem, the spanish team has developed here. After playing Blood Omen 2, Enclave and many other games of this kind, i was totally surprised, how good this game is. Very nice combat System, challenging, and tactical. Well at the moment im fighting the endboss, i hope i will find a way to damage him! Well see...
Just stay close to him and use the lv20 blade's special attack.

I enjoyed this game but the glitched cutscenes where the character would get stuck were a real immersion-killer.
OMG, yes, thank you GOG!!!

I just re-installed this for a play through with my daughter and my CD is almost entirely SHOT. Now I've got it in digital, oooohhh yeahhhh :)
