Woodwine22: I'm not using steam, so i think that's not a way i can go :)
I experimented with tools like JoyXoff on other games, and though I think they work great with some games, it's still not optimal for others. The developers said in the FAQ that there is the possibility they'll add native controller support, so i thought i should express my interest in this specific matter ;)
Antimicro works, but there seems to be a half-way coded baked in controller support. Without any wrapper, you should be able to use your D-Pad to navigate menus (not enter choices, but go up and down). With a wrapper you get some funky results for Turn left and turn right if they're mapped to your left analog stick. The D-Pad also randomly activates movement even when no movement is mapped to the button press. So there is something there, but I don't know if they would remove it or expand upon it (I hope they do 1 or the other so I can use my controller)
EDIT to ADD that the original release here does not suffer from these issues.
