Hello! First of all this game seems fantastic, and this is entirely a controlling related issue.

I just started playing, and to my horror I noticed my mouse acts very jittery. It sort of jumps instead of panning smoothly. I noticed it immediately from the start, and have no idea what is causing it.

Everything else works just fine. I tried changing the mouse sensitivity from the options, but this didn't really help. (It made the jumps a bit larger so I could actually turn the view, but overall control was left unsatisfying.)

One option is to make an entirely keyboard-reliant control scheme, or find out a way to run it with a controller (my 360 controller didn't work straight out of the box with this, unfortunately, there might be a workaround. I have a gut feeling this game is worth the digging)

Ideally I'd hope this is some simple thing that is fixable.
Same here

It only happens when using OpenGL, when running it in D3D the jittering stops, however, when running in D3D the menu options don't highlight so you don't know what you are selecting.

May see about setting up an Xpadder profile for just keyboard control and map it and see how it fares.

OpenGL also gives much more interesting graphics options than the rest... Right now I've settled on an all-keyboard solution.
Used solution from this theme "[Fix] Stuttering problems" . Mouse OK!

Could you explain what you did in a bit more detail please?

Edit. Oh, sorry hadn't noticed that thread before. Thanks.

It's not a "Mouse problem" it's a problem related with the game performance, caused by a bad combination of OpenGL and audio drivers.

You must select the proper audio Driver, which is "DirectSound 7+ Software - Pan and Volume" to make the game work fine under OpenGL.

Now the game will run smooth, but you will notice tearing. To fix this, simply force Vsync with your video card control panel.

See you! :D

Strangely, it seems not to have fixed it for me, though I may have something else wrong.

I'll need to investigate, though I've already learned to play this with keyboard only. : D

Same here, it is slightly better but still not viable.

Going to see if I can setup Xpadder this afternoon for it, should be able to. Will try and map mouse look controls to right stick and see what happens
I recommend check the mouse sensivity. By default is too low (2/10).

Yeah, I've tried setting it as low as possible up to highest but no change.

Wouldn't be surprised if it has something to do with my mouse being wireless!

Oops, well then, i don't know what can be. I use an USB wired mouse (it came with an notebook suitcase) and works fine for me :P
I solve the mouse problems with my Nvidia control pannel. i forced the Vertical sync and since then, no more issues.

Step by step: open Nvidia panel conntrols, then go to "add a new programm", select the game application (located by default at C:/Gog Games/ Blade of Darness/ Bin) and turn on the vertical synchronisation. Done.

Didn't think of that, just tried it and it works perfect

Excellent, thanks

Thank you so much, Stardust_79... that worked like a charm! That issue was really bugging me.
You welcome guys :-D
