I'm playing as Sargon. In the Forge of Xshatra (the level with a lot of lava) the game always crashes when the dark knight carrying the key to the armory dies, no matter if I kill him, I force the troll to murder him "by mistake" or he walks into lava.

Does that happen to you as well? Is there any way to circumvent this?
I want to go on playing, but this makes me stuck with no hope to continue.

I forgot: I'm on windows 10 and I already tried the rollback.
Uhm... hello? I even sent a mail to SNEG's customer support, but so far nobody answered.
I'd really like to keep on playing BoD.
That spot always was troublesome even in the original game. Usually it would crash for me right when I unlock the door
or jump on the ledge across the lava. What you can try is to restart the level from scratch. Not guaranteed it will work though.

Wow, they have a customer support email?

Could you please PM it to me? I can't find it anywhere.

I restarted many, MANY times, believe me. :P
That's the worst part, I was running for an "awesome" level playthrough. Just 6 saves so far.

It happens. to me more often than most! XD

I hope somebody can come up with a solution. I'm fine with cheating as well, I just need that damn key in my inventory.
Which path did you take - Shalatuar fortress or Oasis of Nejeb? If nothing works, try different character. I swear same thing has happened to me before, crash after crash but at some point it doesn't crash so I'm able to move forward.
Change some variables - use potion, or wait for any applied buff to expire. Or try going at full health. Or change the place where the knight gets killed. Lure hims somewhere else. Try different spots.

Nejeb.
I tried everything I can think of, the area is surrounded by lava and I just can't get him out of his tiny spot.
I always take the Shalatuar fortress route. Seems more natural. Anyway, it's unlikely that this is the reason you have crashes.

As for my suggestion to kill the knight in another spot - isn't the knight i in a long corridor? At one end there a bigger room with some torture devices and some urns. On the other end of the corridor is a small staircase that leads to an elevator. Go to either end of the long corridor and wait for them there.

I already tried so many times... I don't think there is a solution, currently.
I found a way to make it consistently work. Tried four times, they all were successful.

I had to eneable vsync, frame limiter and disable character shadows. Other combinations didn't seem to work.

MAGIC.

I finished the game by doing what I wrote above, but the devs still haven't replied back. Meh.
So, how did you like it? Will you play again with different character?
