It looks like the game hangs on startup in High Sierra.

I suspect it's a Wine issue. It sits on the dock, and I have to force quit it.

+1
It's a problem with Wineskin. I managed to run Blackwell 1 (Legacy) by following a suggestion on the news section of their site wineskin.urgesoftware.com (sorry I can't post links).

- Download Wineskin
- Open Wineskin, install latest engine and update wrapper
- Create a blank wrapper app
- Open it
- Click on Set Screen Options
- Uncheck Auto Detect GPU for Direct 3D
- Click on Install Software, then Copy a folder inside
- Before selecting anything, you must extract the Legacy folder from the app provided by gog. Right click on the app and select Show package contents, then locate it in drive_c/Program Files/gog/Legacy. Copy the whole folder elsewhere, like on your Desktop
- Go back to Wineskin, and select Legacy.exe. Quit Wineskin and restart the app. It should work.

Sadly the same trick didn't work with BW2, it crashes on start.
You can also nudge the auto GPU detection setting off for the GoG version, which fixed it for me and didn't require downloading anything else.

Ignore this first step if you downloaded the game from gog.com website rather than through Galaxy:
Find where the game app is, right click > Show package contents. Go to Contents > Resources > game.

Right click Blackwell Unbound (or whichever game) > Show package contents.
Open Contents folder
Open Info.plist in a text editor.
Find the line "<key>Try To Use GPU Info</key>"
Edit the "true" BELOW this line to be "false" (no quotemarks).
Save file, quit editor, and run the game. You may have to dismiss the game settings dialog the first time.

*EDIT: got true and false the wrong way around. It should be true before you edit it, and you should change it to false ;)

I can't find the line "try to use GPU info" in the info.plist file :(
