Finished the first episode this afternoon, and i really liked it. so without waiting, i attacked the second, and then, bug breaker :(

I have register on the recorder the song from the piano, gone to the promenage, clic the recorder on the ghost : laurreen go at left of the ghost, "clic". no choice, no music, nothing. after a few second, the ghost play sax again, and no action possible at all ;( !!
please, help !

Hm. This is a long shot, but I'm wondering if the sound effect for the sax isn't playing. There's a 30-40 second segment where he does nothing but play music, so if that music doesn't play it might look like the game is "stuck" when it's not. If it happens again, try giving it one minute and see if it progresses.

the ghost is playing (animation of playing saxophone) but there is no sound.
In fact there is no sound at all since the "clic" of the recorder. and for record (sic), i didn't quit the game which is always on the same scene, blocked (more precisely, joey and saxo ghost move their anim, Laureen is with the recorder at hand, and the cursor/watch is blocked too on the 12th hour position)

Thank for the offer, but no save done for the moment (i really "jumped" in the game and didn't think about saving before).
the good news is at some instant sooner, i tried pushed a bunch of keyboard key (frustration :S ... ) and the ESCAPE key unblocked the situation (the ghost asked Laureen if she's his sister).

so if you want a file in particular i could send it to you (I'm waiting your answer before continue with the game... and save :D ). thanks for your help in all case m(U.U)/

PS: I'm French, so forgive me (please) if i spelled or wrote some sentence/word badly ;)
edit : PS2:i didn't read with great attention your email, and didn't see that you are from the game maker company ^^! just so you know (please let your colleague know too), I'm not and adventure player at all, but i like reading, and (at part the bug before) I've fallen in love with the Blackwell series : when i'll finish the bundle, i'll go see the other title :)

Hm. It sounds to me like the sound file wouldn't play, and since the game waits for the sound file to finish before continuing, it hanged. Fortunately, you can press escape to bypass the sequence, which is what solved it for you. :)

If anyone else has this problem. please let me know. I'm curious if it's a common thing or a "one off." In the five years since the game was released, nobody has ever reported it to me. :)

i wonder something : i use japanese local in windows region settings, could the unicode use have a link with the sound file not played/loaded ? (for information, my path is actually : "D:\jeux\MsWin\!GOG.com\Blackwell Bundle" ).

Well, I have just stumbled over the very same bug. The ESC-hint helped and worked here as well. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.

I had the same bug, Thankfully after leaving the room and returning it allowed the sound file to trigger and play. Sounds like escape key would have been easier.
