Just finished the first game (Legacy) and in the credits it gave an "Activation Code" though it was something you redeem for bonus material on the official site but didn't see anything there.

Is this something that was dropped or is it something you can save for a later game to unlock content ?

Start the game again and fiddling around in the "options" menu. You'll see what to do with the activation code soon enough!
