No reply from Daedalic yet. Wrote again and told them that this HAS to be fixed because the DLC is unplayable without fixing. I demanded to know what they'll do and an ETA of a patch.
After writing the next mail today my last mail was answered surpisingly a few minutes ago. The feedbacks sounds good.

"Hallo Marko,

Translation:

"Hello Marko,
we are just taking a closer look at the first part - at least at the GOG version with the DLC. Our goal is to fix the bug and we have planned to take about 2 weeks. In this time we will test and fix the mistake."

So now all we have to do is wait. I told them that I let them a few weeks time before I ask again. So all Blackguards fans don't get rid of your games yet :)
And here is another long expected good news. Regarding the Blackguards Patch (if you have installed the game and DLC in some situations later in game savegames don't work anymore) Daedalic just told me that they found the bug and fixed it so the patch is basically ready. They are now in the testing phase so it should not take long anymore.

Nice work.

I do wonder if they bothered to check all the other issues with the DLC beyond that single encounter.

Such as the "Strange Clearing" or something that you can infinitely repeat. And whatever other issues were beyond the Prophet event... which means majority of the DLC content.

But hey, I'll potentially be able to play the DLC I bought half a year ago now. Hooray?

I guess, we'll see this in the patch notes. I did not tell them because I did not know about it in the first place. It will probably still take a little while and I am O.K. with this because it's better that they test the patch really well then breaking another thing which would require additional support and causes new disappointment. So I'd say: yes, hooray :)
Hardly a cause for celebration. The game is still broken despite this endless wait for action. Still our money gone for a game that's not playable with only a promise of being fixed in approximately a years time to start over again since our saves are corrupted.

I do appreciate your efforts MarkoH01, this isn't your fault but Daedlic's.

I can absolutely understand how this waiting can be frustrating and yes, there were several things that went wrong with Daedalic in the past but they have helped me countless times and I could swear that the patch will be here in a few weeks max. I just know it (keep your optimism high :)). But of course you are correct, at this time all I have is words - not much more than I had before but on this words I can build up, annoy the people again and again - and I can be pretty stubborn in such matters :) I'll get us this damn patch or die trying it!

Hey Marko - you have been true to your word harassing Daedalic about the issue but have they released this patch yet?

They might have stated that they've set aside 2 weeks to fix/test the patch but it's been almost 7 weeks based on your reply on April 1st.

To be honest, I really don't even want to play this game any longer since it's been so damn long but still want to see what Daedalic has to say about this though so I know whether or not I need to avoid their games in the future.

edit - your efforts are appreciated though, MarkoH01. Didn't want that to slide by without clear acknowledgement.

Yes, I have been true to my word and I have contacted Daedalic two or three days ago (sorry for not posting this yet). The guy who I contacted was on a business trip and he told me that they still fight with a random bug. After that they will upload the patch to GOG immediately. Since it has been a looooong time since the first time someone asked for the patch I told them exactly that. I also told them that I try to hold up the Image of Daedalic in the GOG forum because they helped me more than they disappointed me. I also told them that I cannot do that much longer and it would be great if they finally would give me an ETA of th epatch. I can understand if you or anybody else is giving up on the patch or the game. I haven't. It's a question of priciples and I bought a WORKING game and not one which I cannot play to the end. I will wait a nit longer but if it takes too long for me I guess I will visit them personally since they are not more then 45 minutes away from my home.

If I could +1 you in any fashion to/on GOG - I would.

Thank you.

Don't thank me yet. There is still no patch in my hands and so far I have done nothing more than writing a few mails.
So.. two pages of posts are missing, and my comment on this posted two days ago doesn't appear, either.

Huh.

Edit: Some time later it self-fixed, though my first post about it is missing.

Guess there's a LOT more people trying to access GOG forums now for some completely obscure reason. Having nothing to do with "Polan can into cRPGs" >.>

Still no patch, though. Jolly well done, Daedalic.

My (hopefully) last mail from daedalic reads as follows:

The DLC should aready be patched because we found out that the bug occured in the DLC and not in the main game. We have transmitted all update data for the DLC to GOG and the patch will fix all mentioned bugs. The GOG installation will be made bei GOG - there is nothing we can do about this.

Victory! Just waiting for Judas to upload that patch :)
The game as well as the DLC has been updated. Still downloading but the bug should have been fixed!
Last post here:
I just tested it. The icons in the battle in Thenrian are now shown and the save is working. This game is fixed!
