Hi All,

I just got Blackguards 2 yesterday and applied patch 2.1. I'm having major problem when using spells, a lot of time when I select a spell and I try to use it, I can't. I try to right click on the target but nothing happens. Then the game interface seems to be stuck in spell mode or something because I can't select any character or do anything else. All I can do exit retry the mission or exit. Any idea ?

Have exactly the same problem. Since patch 2.1 none of my characters can use spells.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one...hopefully it will get fixed in the near future.

I'm having a similar problem. Healing spell and arcane wall spell are working, only the fire spells are causing the 'freeze'. In addition, on one map the game freezes right at the beginning when you have to place your characters. Im not sure, but maybe on this map there are fires burning (which I can't see though)? Maybe the game has a Problem with the animation of fire??? Anyway, with this issue the game is not playable, pretty frustrating when a patch does this...

The same problem, it seems that helaing works fine, but all damage spells lead directly to this kind of game freezing...

Well, same here. I guess we have to wait for a patch that will fix a few bugs extra "introduced" by a previous patch. Too bad that nowadays devs are rushing games for the release and then patching them for a while instead of delaying until stable and almost bug free version is available. Th second option is more expensive in the short term, but can boost positive reviews and in the long term game will sell better.

Again, glad im not the only one as I done a search on other sites and couldn't find anyone else with the problem.

Seems buffing spells work fine, but any offensive spell doesn't. Tries using thunderbolt with the lost man In the tutorial section and it does the same as when you cast the flame thingy with Zuburan; soft freeze. You can move the mouse, press escape etc but cannot access the action wheel and the game just doesn't advance. The action still comes up in the battle log, but doesn't continue after that.

Dammit I have a couple of days off and was looking forward to sinking in some hours into this, guess i'll have to wait but looking at the main site forums, their seems to be no-one else with this problem...

Hi,

We just uploaded patch 2.2 on your account that should resolve this "characters cannot use spells" issue.

Now, in order to avoid any hassle or errors. please make sure you have the PREVIOUS patch ("Patch 2.1" it's called on your shelf) downloaded and installed and then download and install "Patch 2.2" from your game shelf :)

Well, time to reinstall Blackguards 2 and check out the new patch to see if it fixes the problem!

UPDATE:

It's still doesn't work :( I have restarted the campaign, I'm in the mission to free the silent legion from the prison. I have selected Zurbaran, right click on enemy unit, click on the spell damage, then Burst of Flame 2 (16 points) and then I'm stuck again...no spell is performed and I can't proceed further. Zurbaran is selected but I can't do anything with the game except restart the mission....seriously guys this sucks.

I have reinstalled the game, then applied 2.1 patch and then 2.2 patch.

And I have another problem, when I got to the mines, all I see are few goblins but I can't place my units...I can't scroll, nothing, Please see the attached image.
