This night or tomorrow?

Will you start playing immediately or wait for the first patch[es] once it is was out in the wild?
I remember that merchant in BG1 got patched only a couple of months after release...

//edit: All quiet on the western front.

//edit: 11:38 GMT, now I just need to get home...

im playing now. It has bugs. Nothing game breaking so far.. but bugs here and there. Im having a lot of fun so far. Its clear that the devs prioritized addressing criticism the first game got from reviews... i think that is both a good and a bad thing. Good because theyv done things like: reduce random elements, and increase strategy. Failing spells and missing all the time really bogged combat down in the original. But its also bad.. theyv done things like make everything easily accessible through trainers. First trainer i encounter teaches every single spell. Also, it seems like theyv done the classic dev move of: nerfing the over-powerful and over-powering the underpowered... Archery seems to really suck now.. and magic is better for damage.. and you can debuff/status effect the crap out of enemies without failing.
Iv got a long ways to go before i can make a final verdict on the game.

Gawd! I love Blackguards1, buying this was a no brainer. If it's half as good as the first then it will be fantastic. :)

Interesting, reading this gives me mixed feelings too. I hope people start posting reviews so I have something other than a low average score to go on.

Also, I wouldn't mind balance patches for BG1, but not anything I'd have to restart the game over... AP cost changes would screw up old save files.
