Falmari: I wonder if the underlying cause of shmerl's bug about slow display of a large list of saves is the same as the slow down in merchants display a list of items for sale.
I tend to sell all the drops I pick up to a couple of merchants. So towards the end of the game they have a lot of items and when you ask them to show you their wares it takes quite a while to display them. The merchant display is locked until the list is populated.

Also is there a limit to the XP a player can get. I have been playing a Templar (veteran) solo on my third run though and XP stops at 182500 level 20 even though more XP is awarded the XP stays at 182500.
Yes, there is a performance issue with too many items in shops. This will be fixed soon.

The game currently has a level cap of 20, yes.
I tried giving The illusionist dagger to Jade, that adds one level 3 spell slot and one level 5 slot (both elevated). But it's bugged, becasue after a while she keeps forgetting allocated spells added to those extra slots and they have to be added again.

I think the bug is triggered when reloading a save.

Thank you for this report. It was forwarded to the developer team.
UPDATE: in order for an item-given passive ability ("while equipped" ability) to take effect, the item has to be the selected one. So if you switch to another weapon set, the memorized slots disappear naturally. If you switch back, the spells should be there memorized again (if they have been memorized before). Some issues may appear though if you have more than one item equipped that gives additional spell slots. Refinements will be implemented here.
Hello, once I arrived in the southern part of the first city my game runs way too fast. All my characters and NPC's look like they are running everywhere. Help?

Any chance you pressed hotkey (Q) for Fast Mode? You can also turn it on/off by clicking the "Fast Mode" icon at the bottom right icon bar over the combat log.

That was it, sorry I didn't realize that setting existed. Thank you!

We're glad it was sorted out. If we can help in anything else, don't hesitate to reach out. Have fun!
I wonder if there is a roadmap of upcoming story dlc, like additional side quests and new story threads? I'd be highly interested in that!
And if there are plans to port the game to consoles, I'd appreciate gamepad support for the pc version as well! If a developer reads it, feedback would be very welcome!

Hello!

Decision about console porting will be made within a couple of months, but there is a 90% chance it will be positive. :-)

Here is a list of planned/desired features (but unfortunately, there is no ETA):
DLC (including a very unique new class, kind of a distant relative of a Necromancer)
Customizable ability bar by player
Item descriptions will list the classes that can use the item
Pets
Strongholds
More spells
More love for unarmed combat (such as items giving a bonus)
Two-weapon style (dual wield)
Flails
Animal companions for classes where it makes sense
Shapeshifting
Deluxe Edition
Game OST as an independent asset
Monster respawn when returning to already explored wilderness areas
More interesting Random Encounters
Revising many fetch-quests to make them more complex and interesting
Additional, complex side quests
Additional music (game songs)
Making Greed consequences (even) more conspicuous as it grows in the world
The option to create a full party during character creation
Modding support (including the possibility to lift class restrictions of races)
Improved quality for movement and fight swing animations
Savegame file compression to reduce disk space usage

Awesome! Thanks for the detailed answer! There are great things on the list I'd definitely support (buy) immediately :)
Just finished playing through. I've been experiencing the slow-downs and lag that I've seen mentioned elsewhere. This wasn't game-breaking, I still completed the thing, but it did make combat pretty janky and painful to sit through sometimes and it would kind of put me off recommending the game or trying streaming it for friends or anything. I am pretty sure this is some sort of memory leak hole, it definitely worsened as time went on and restarting the game every 2-3hrs of play helped (though there were still issues even with that). One other thing I noticed in case this helps is that once the game started seriously slowing down, it wouldn't quit normally, trying to quit the game caused it to freeze and crash.

Other small bugs (or things that felt like bugs):
> After a rest in Rothgor's realm I had one of the giant flame spiders spawn... under the map, or something? So it could seemingly hit me with fireballs but I couldn't hit it in return (it was only visible in outline so I couldn't target it, and AOEs where it appeared to be didn't hit it), which went about as badly for me as you can imagine. I eventually just ran away where it couldn't follow, and then snuck back and gave it some wolves to kill until the combat ended message showed up, at which point I made a new save and moved on.
> After giving Helgenhar's needs to the dwarf at the Northern Realms embassy, I kept checking back with her for the rest of the game but she only ever said she needed more time before she could be of help, so whilst his quest was officially "finished" in the quest log, there didn't seem to be any proper ending resolution to it.
> I saw one dialogue item once relating to Siracca when talking to the Rillow leader, took another choice in that conversation and never got a chance to discuss it again, despite repeatedly trying for the rest of the game. So I'm not sure if there should have been some resolution to Siracca's story but I couldn't reach it if there was.
> Selecting party members often got a bit glitchy when clicking their portraits, the game kept reshuffling/shifting them in the portrait order as if I'd tried to click and drag instead of just selecting the person.

I'll put more general thoughts on the game from a narrative & fun perspective in another thread.
Thank you for the feedback and bug reports. It was shared with the developers.

The next instalment of Helgenhar's questline isn't present in the game at the moment. There is no ETA for it either, unfortunately.
