Hi,
I am unable to save games after reaching the Hephaestus level. If I go back to Fort Frolic or any other location, I am able to save game again. It seems you are unable to save games in Hephaestus, Olympus heights or Prometheus.
I have read most of the guides/workarounds for this issue but, none of them work. I have tried the following:

1) Recreate the save games folder and copy-paste the saved games.
2) Edit the Bioshock.ini file and specify the exact location of the save games folder.
3) Uninstalling, re-downloading and re-installing the game.
4) Running the game in windowed mode.

None of the above work. After going through the forums, the only workaround that works is playing the original version with a fresh start. I have gathered that people are having similar issues with Bioshock 2 Remastered as well. This is a weird bug. Maybe the Remastered game wasn't tested all the way through.
Anyone know any other workaround besides playing the original version ? It's a huge bummer to replay the game from level 1 :(

Very strange. What happens exactly? Do you get any error when trying to save?

Seems an error related to read/write permissions, but the strange part is that it occurs on a specific game location. Have you tried running the game as an administrator?

Running the remastered edition of bioshock 1 as an administrator doesn't work either.
