Does anyone know if this version of Beyond Good and Evil has been improved in any way compared to the original notoriously buggy PC version?
Especially concerning the issues of flashing graphics, stuttering frame rates and bad synchronisation between audio and image in cut scenes?
I've already bought Beyond Good and Evil through Steam but would gladly buy this insanely brilliant game again if some of the most annoying bugs had been fixed. :-)

I have the Steam version too -- never really noticed the first two problems, and there's an easy fix for the third that I posted here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/beyond_good_and_evil/quick_bit_of_info_for_anyone_having_sync_issues
Isn't there anyone from the GoG staff who can shed some light on this issue?

check support threads all problems are fixed by
1) turning off AA in the in game setup exe
2) turn shadows to low in the same place
3) run from the shortcut and it will keep it in sync with a magical program they wrote to make it work.
if you have the steam version contact them on how to get their fixes
gog ftw
btw its all in the support section i found it after just a few clicks :)

Thanks, this wasn't there when I wrote the post above.
hey madsjn, i have the steam version as well and run it with no problems. to fix the flashing graphics, turn off antialiasing. to fix the sync issues you must run the game on a single core. (either open up task manager - ctrl-alt-delete - when the game is running, right click bge.exe and set affinity to one core, or do the same for steam.exe before you launch the game and bge will launch on one core)

Thanks for the tips :-)!
Actually I think I'll just get it from GOG. Really appreciate the fact that they've taken the time to create a program that takes care of the sync issue.
