Best thing to do would be to create a music/ folder within your BASS installation directory and extract the music there. Add music/ as an "Extra path" in BASS's ScummVM options. When 1.4.1 drops on Friday, just get the Windows zipfile and replace the contents of the scummvm/ folder with the contents of the zip.

I'm not sure exactly how to do this. Where to I add the Extra Path line? Can you give a sample of that line?

Launch ScummVM, select Beneath a Steel Sky on the list and then click 'Edit Game' on the side. Click the 'Paths' tab and click on 'Extra Path', simply navigate to where you've stored the enhanced soundtrack and then click 'ok'.

Incidentally, version 1.1 of the soundtrack is out now. Not sure what differences it has from 1.0, but a new version is a new version!

I meant how to add it to the ini file (so that I can still use my old shortcut (unless it doesn't matter)).

Oh, sorry. Well you could add it manually, or you could press ctrl+f5 and then 'return to launcher' and add it in the options from there.

Adding it manually is easy enough though, anyway. Add

Don't forget to add output_rate=44100 as well.

Well, I did it, but it doesn't seems to work. Maybe it's because of this line (music_driver=adlib). What should I do?

Hmm yeah that's plausible. Here's my [beneath] which works with the soundtrack, change the paths as appropriate and see if the results are any better.

So I went ruffling through the files installed by the GOG version of BASS. Seems the 'original' version installed used ScummVM 0.12.0 (according to the various .ini files....) from August 2008 or thereabouts.

Other than upgrading for upgrades' sake, are there benefits to upgrading to 1.4.1? I honestly installed ScummVM separately, but copy/pasted the files into the BASS/ScummVM folder just to see.

Other than recently getting Munt working with MT-32 ROMs, I see no difference, really. Any thoughts? Maybe I am just dense, or missing something?

i did noticed a difference. Bass plays it's animations at the wrong speed (too fast, even when the speed is set as normal) with 0.12.0. With the first 1.0.0, the speed was OK. Maybe it was only my computer that acted like this, though.

The remastered soundtrack is absolutely lovely. Well worth the download and tweaking of the config
