i nearly flipped after installing the latest update today and discovering that my progress had somehow been reset. the cause of this appears to be a change in the save structure, renaming three key files. to fix this:

go to (Your User Folder)\Documents\ColdBeamGames\BeatHazard2
rename or otherwise back up the files with "Hum" in the name
copy the files with Gog in the name and rename them to match the Hum files

this should restore your previous save data, settings, and user info. it worked for me at least.

Thank you!
It would seem that the latest patch is actually the Humble bundle build of the game (as indicated by the main menu version string, it WAS previously a specialised GOG version)
Thanks for letting me know.
This should be fixed in v1.8. (I've removed v1.7)
Let me know if there's any other issues.
